Jacket foundation and pin pile production line transportation operations of Changfang and Xidao Offshore Wind Farms

Mammoet-Giant Taiwan provides a range of high-level engineering and design services and assists with the transportation of jacket foundations and pin piles. Changfang and Xidao offshore wind farms are located on the coast of Changhua. A total of 62 Vestas V174-9.6MW wind turbines are equipped. Century Wind Power provided 62 jacket foundations and 69 pin piles. Each jacket foundation is 60 to 80 meters high and weighs 1,200 to 1,600 tons. The pin pile is 62 to 72 meters long and weighs 280 to 320 tons. Mammoet-Giant Taiwan uses 60-axles lines SPMT to help Century Wind Power assemble the jacket foundation at each factory building. Transportation between factory building enables the manufacturing and assembly operations of jacket foundations to proceed smoothly.

The Jacket foundation is mainly divided into lower jacket, upper jacket and transition piese. Mammoet-Giant Taiwan uses SPMT to transport the structural components welded and manufactured in different workshops to the coating workshop for sandblasting and coating operations. After the spraying is completed, the structural parts are transported to the assembly workshop, where each structural part is welded and assembled. A After the jacket foundation welding is completed, the jacket is finally transported to the storage area for storage, waiting for the arrival of the HLV and installation of the jacket foundation at the offshore wind farm.
