Through the operations of the Sustainability Development Team, Giant references industry best practices and engages all departments to identify groups and individuals that have a material impact on, or are impacted by, the Company. The identification process follows the international AA1000SES Stakeholder Engagement Standard, applying a systematic analysis based on dependency, responsibility, influence, diverse perspectives, and tension over concerns, to determine the Company’s key stakeholder categories.
The identification results encompass seven major stakeholder groups: employees, shareholders, customers and traders, central and local government agencies, suppliers or contractors, partners, and banking/insurance institutions. The Company continues to communicate with and respond to the concerns of each stakeholder group, ensuring their input serves as a key reference for sustainability management and decision-making.

Material Sustainability Issues |
With reference to the GRI Standards and insights from both internal and external experts, Giant compiled and developed a comprehensive repository of relevant and significant sustainability topics. Through stakeholder engagement in the form of surveys, Giant identified the key areas of concern regarding sustainability issues. A total of 429 questionnaires were analyzed to evaluate the impact of each topic on the Company’s operations. The results were consolidated into a materiality matrix, from which Giant identified its material sustainability topics: Economic Performance, Labor Relations, Occupational Health and Safety, Training and Education, Employer-Employee Relations, Climate-related Economic Impacts, Compulsory Labor, and Air Pollutant Management.
Based on the 2024 materiality assessment, and compared to 2023, “Energy Management” was excluded, while “Employee Diversity and Equal Opportunity” was newly incorporated as a material topic. In total, eight material sustainability topics were identified for 2024.
To enhance the quality of sustainability disclosures, Giant commits to conducting an annual review and adjustment of material topics, ensuring alignment with global sustainability trends and consistency with the Company’s operational context.
