The year 2024 marked the hottest year on record globally, with climate change intensifying extreme weather events and posing severe challenges to human society and ecosystems. As global temperatures surpassed the 1.5°C threshold set by the Paris Agreement for the first time, we at Giant Corporation deeply recognize the urgent need for businesses to demonstrate responsibility and take meaningful action on sustainability issues.

Taiwan has emerged as a leader in offshore wind power development in the Asia-Pacific region. According to government statistics, as of the end of January 2025, Taiwan has completed the construction of seven commercial offshore wind farms, with a total of 374 wind turbines and a grid-connected capacity of 3.04 GW. The government has set ambitious targets to reach 13.1 GW by 2030 and 40–50 GW by 2050, presenting vast opportunities. Giant will continue to leverage its professional expertise to actively participate and fulfill its corporate responsibilities.
Guided by the principles of integrity, innovation, safety, and sustainability, Giant continues to advance ESG practices. In 2024, we prioritized engineering quality and labor safety, establishing a comprehensive Environmental Safety and Health management system, conducting regular occupational safety training, and enhancing on-site operational safety. In response to information security risks, we obtained ISO 27001 certification and built a robust cybersecurity framework. In promoting workplace equality, we implemented gender-friendly policies and maternal protection measures to foster a diverse and inclusive working environment.
