On the 27th, CSBC Corporation, Taiwan successfully completed the floating dock tests for the prototype submarine "Hai Kun" (Narwhal) under the Indigenous Defense Submarine Program. The prototype was smoothly transferred from the company's enclosed assembly plant to a dry dock through floating operations.

The floating operation took place within the Kaohsiung Port area, led by CSBC Corporation Chairman Cheng Wen-Lon and the convener of the Hai Chang Project, Advisory Committee Member Huang Shu-Kuang. All personnel assembled at 7:30 AM on the 27th, and the operation officially began at 8:00 AM. After 7 hours, the task was completed at 3:00 PM, confirming that the watertight integrity, weight control, stability, and ballast in all compartments met the design's expected standards during the first phase.

Throughout the floating operation planning, CSBC Corporation and the Hai Chang Project team meticulously coordinated various aspects, including the rental of Giant Heavy Machinery Service's multifunctional heavy-lift vehicles, the "Zhong Xin 8" floating dock, and several tugboats within the port area. The Navy was requested to provide support with tugboats, Marine Corps patrol boats, and divers from the Underwater Operations Team. The Harbor Police also deployed patrol boats, while the port authority managed the navigation channel controls. Additionally, various organizations such as the Xiaogang Precinct, China Steel Corporation (CSC), CPC Corporation, Taiwan Power Company, and Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. assisted with security at the port terminals. The combined efforts of these resources ensured the smooth execution of the floating dock operation on the 27th!
